"Shopping at Hudson's Bay is a mixed bag..."
I really enjoy visiting the actual Hudson's Bay stores, but it bums me out to learn that some of their locations are shutting down. The downtown Edmonton store is one of those. My rating mainly reflects my experiences in the store. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Hudson's Bay's online shopping and customer support. It's just plain awful and super annoying! Honestly, I don't get why they even have a call center since they can't assist with anything, and it seems like most reviews focus on the online shopping and customer service issues. That said, I did have store staff help me place an order online for an item that was out of stock, and it got shipped to the store without any hiccups.
I really hope Hudson's Bay can pull through and keep going; they've got 350 years of history behind them!

I really dig the variety at The Bay.
I recently attempted to use a new gift card online, but it didn’t go through. I reached out to customer service, and while it took some time to get everything sorted, the rep was not to blame. He persevered, fixed the problem, and even sent me a replacement gift card without me having to ask for it.

“Hudson's Bay is thebay.com but this department store outsources to Third World countries. Their customer service are children that do not know how to handle telephone calls and their products are now made in China. The quality of their product is pretty much the same as Walmart.”
